basically the perfect expression
this is truly the classic Catrina, and i love it.
technically this is henna, but it’s also technically beautiful.
it looks kind of inspired by Mayan art with the varying thickness in the line weights and the sort of cube-y shapes
i dig it - this should totally get perma-inked.
such light colors in this Catrina and yet still the far away look seeking the truth only the dead know…
The veil makes me think of a wedding and makes this even more emotional still.
i’m in love with the color on this one!
the shading gradations are soooooo smooth and consistent.
eyes closed - denied the truth.
what do her eyelids hide?
something about this one i can’t put my finger on…
i’ve been looking at her for days trying to decide if i should post her or not, and i’m finally doing it. in most of the images i post, the eyes speak to me in a clear way; they’re vibrant, or longing, or forlorn, or sad, or piercing, or somethingorother - these are just flat dead, and it kind of spooks me.
honestly a very realistic representation of Catrina
if you know the original source, please let me know
I think this is on two different people, and that is awesome.
they match, and yet each is unique. I really like the single line style of these!
awesome! and the matching eye makeup color rules too.
those eyes are sooooo creepy!
this one sort of reminds me of Salvador Dali - the quality of the curves in the lines…
something innocent about this one
she sees into my soul and wonders why it looks the way it does
and those eyelashes are just - damn
i get a hitch in my throat and have to choke back a tear for some reason
this one is extremely open, if that makes any sense. she seems saddened by the truth only the dead know. i want to comfort her, but don’t think it’s possible
