let’s get real about Dia De Los Muertos.
loss can happen at any age, it’s the ways in which we remember those who have gone before us that defines the rest of our life. celebrate them, cherish them, remember them, even mourn them, but do not fear the truth only the dead know - their secrets will be ours in time.
i love how the absolute craziness of color and texture and dimension can do nothing to distract me from the look in her eyes. they speak to me, but i can’t understand what she’s saying. i’m lost and swimming in her soulful expression, and i wonder for whom she touches her heart…
the gilded steam punk version. i actually like this more than i probably would have if someone told me they were going to do a steam punk Sugar Mask
there aren’t many good examples of the male version of the Dia De Los Muertos mask, or Catrin. this one breaks that mold wide open!
the visual style of this film is sooooo perfect for Dia De Los Muertos. it may be early yet to get excited for october, but i’m excited.
zoom in on this one fullscreen http://www.collider.com/wp-content/uploads/the-book-of-life-poster.jpg (copy/paste the url otherwise it just takes you to the wrong page) - there is just too much detail lost in the small version.
this is going to be simply stunning
the intensity of those eyes. they’re planning something, and it smells eerily like revenge for some reason. and look at that hair! amazing.
i love the imagery of this Catrina out in the woods. alone. seeking. knowing the truth. even from so far away you can see the look in her eyes, and i want to follow her into those woods - like a moth to the fire.
let’s start this Dia De Los Muertos season off right with one i’ve been holding onto until today.
i’ve been collecting new images for the past year, and today is the beginning of the end so to speak. this one comes to us courtesy of Michael in OZ photography.
i love this one so much for its simplistic composition of the makeup - it’s so perfectly classic Catrina. and those eyes, those eyes.
she seems to know what i’ve been up to, and may not be entirely pleased - but only the dead know the real truth.
I like to give credit to original content, so if you know where this came from, please let me know!
I’m in love with this style of Dia De Los Muertos Sugar Mask makeup. My wife and I are thinking of doing this style for Halloween this year.
