it’s almost time to start uploading all new images for this year’s Dia De Los Muertos. i’ve spent the past year gathering everything that moves and inspires me about this celebration.
the visual style of this film is sooooo perfect for Dia De Los Muertos. it may be early yet to get excited for october, but i’m excited.
zoom in on this one fullscreen http://www.collider.com/wp-content/uploads/the-book-of-life-poster.jpg (copy/paste the url otherwise it just takes you to the wrong page) - there is just too much detail lost in the small version.
this is going to be simply stunning
the Spanish language version has more/different footage than the English one
look at that detail. the colors, the imagery, the lighting, the way those hues play against each other. i’m mesmerized and can’t wait for the movie
The Book of Life (a movie about the Day of the Dead) trailer is out.
An animated comedy with a unique visual style, “The Book of Life” is the journey of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart. Before choosing which path to follow, he embarks on an incredible adventure that spans three fantastical worlds where he must face his greatest fears. Rich with a fresh take on pop music favorites, “The Book of Life” encourages us to celebrate the past while looking forward to the future.
this trailer gave me goosebumps - in a good way. i absolutely can not wait for this to arrive in theaters. the visual style is simply stunning! and the story made me want to cry and laugh at the same time. i really hope this ends up being something that not only entertains, but teaches good lessons about Dia De Los Muertos.

I’ve always wanted to keep this blog dedicated solely to Dia De Los Muertos and related themes, but I keep finding stuff I’m personally interested in and want to reblog, or just write about or post photos and videos from my myriad of other interests…
without further ado, my personal tumblr

I couldn’t even say it in English
something about those eyebrows makes me think this sugar mask is up to some seriously funny mischief.
thanks to Tattoo Designs Ideas!
those eyes are sooooo creepy!
this one sort of reminds me of Salvador Dali - the quality of the curves in the lines…
I think this is on two different people, and that is awesome.
they match, and yet each is unique. I really like the single line style of these!
